Vanadis was created in the spring of 2010 in Milan, Italy. The brand represents timeless and wearable designs for women, with a twist of contemporary elegance. Vanadis collections are recognized for their beautiful draping and structured lines. Only the highest quality fabrics are used in the production process, each handpicked from selected suppliers. The classical, sophisticated Italian tailoring tradition is employed to ensure the best accuracy of fit. The vibrancy of the designs is inspired by the sparkling Milanese metropolitan life fused with the clean and minimalistic Scandinavian forms of expression.
The first Vanadis collection premiered at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm in 2011. Among a veritable who’s—who of international society you could find legendary shoe designer Mr. Jimmy Choo, whom Ida has had the pleasure of learning from for many years.
Ida Lundberg is a Swedish-Malaysian designer who lives and works in Milan, Italy. The journey towards the creation of Vanadis began in Florence where Ida studied art and design and took shape during her fashion design education at the prestigious Istituto Marangoni. Following her graduation in 2009, Ida worked as a freelance designer creating couture dresses for private clients. Her designs have frequently been noticed by media in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
