i clothing co. is owned by husband and wife team Laura DiMarcantonio and Antoni Tzavelas. Their chance meeting in Toronto’s club scene is where it all began.
Antoni, who was highly involved in the underground club scene, was a local designer searching to expand his business at the time. Laura, being a wardrobe stylist in the film and print industry, as well was looking for a change of pace.
Retailers started to notice the popularity of this independent designer label, and began to carry the line in their specialty boutiques across North America. As fashion moves forward, evolution is inevitable, and the demand for high quality, fashion forward clothing for women who want versatile pieces to take them from day to night pushed i clothing co. to progress. The Individual label was then created.
Individual by i clothing co.’s customer is intelligent, feminine but sexy, earth-conscious, and understands quality and value. i clothing co. continues to search for new and innovative fabric (including some eco-friendly knits and woven), to create fair-trade garments with sophisticated cuts, tailored details and clean lines.
